St. Patrick's Cathedral 1926 to death, having cooperated in design of new organ. Cavalier and officer of the Order of Crown ot Italy; made Knight of St. Sylvester by Pope Pius XI; honorary organist S.S. Basilica of St. Peter's, Vatican, Rome. Made fre­quent appearances organ recitals U.S. and Europe. Guest appearances N.Y. Philh. under Toscanini. Works for organ: three Sonatas; Concerto Gregoriano; two Rhapsodies; twelve Divertimcnti. Youmans, Vincent, composer, pro­ducer; b. New York, N.Y., Sept. 27, 1898, d. Denver, Colo., April 5, 1946. ASCAP 1920. Educ.: Trinity School, Mamaroneck; Heathcote Hall, Rye, N.Y. Gave up engineering studies for business and after year in brokerage house, enlisted in U.S. Navy World War I. Musical from childhood, was assigned to entertainment units Great Lakes Training Station where original compositions began. At end of War entered music publishing house in New York, composing musical comedy Two Little Girls in Blue pro­duced New York 1921. With success of following musicals became own producer. To Hollywood 1933 to create music for motion pictures. On completion of Flying Down To Rio became ill and compositional work thenceforth was confined to music in the larger forms, none of which had reached publication at time of death.
